Oh yes! Avocados are brilliant at producing mould. I used the skins within one two days of eating the avocados and have frozen another batch to see if this is a reliable storage method. I also found that by cutting off the air supply to the dye I have manages to keep a dye pot mould free for over 2 months ... I dread to think what it smells like :)). Have fun! Kate
Avacado skins make the loveliest colors! I love your dip-dyed books too!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Leslie! K x
DeleteBum! Hit the return key too soon ... just wanted to say that I think your books are gorgeous Leslie.
DeleteHow fabulous - the range of colours you got with the avocado is simply stunning!

DeleteThis is just beautiful. I'm collecting avocado skins to try it myself. How did you keep them from molding?
